Different Delivery Options and Programs to Suit Your (or Your Department’s) Realities

If you want strategy and tactics go to Blue Card.  If you want planning, budgeting and all that other “Chief Stuff” then go it the National Fire Academy or college.  If you want to learn about yourself, focus on some essential boss skills and are committed to improvement, then you are in the right place.  All of our training programs are developed for and delivered to Fire and EMS people that either want to be or are in an entry to mid level management position.

FIRO-B, Myers Briggs, IQ, Johari Windows, blah, blah blah – all nice to play with but these are only snapshots of  parts of you that cannot be changed, only adapted to.  Emotional Intelligence and step by step boss skills like coaching and counseling, can be learned, and you can change the way you react, manage and lead, but you have to be willing to do the work.

The sad fact is that our organizations are overwhelmed with mandatory training that directly relates to fire fighting, emergency incident management, specialty emergency ops or patient care.  Management and leadership development take a back seat, especially prior to promotion.  We promote for tactical proficiency – great medic, you’re in, awesome pump operator/driver, move to the right seat!  Go through the promotional process enough times and you’ll figure it out, but ultimately, find a good role model, emulate them, try not to make too many career ending mistakes, and eventually you’ll get it – you hope.  Our focus is on your performance and attitude and giving you a set of tools to improve, and use effectively throughout your career and even outside your emergency services life.

If a single organization enrolls multiple students the following discounts apply:

  • 0-5 Students – no discount
  • 6-10 Students – 5% off tuition for each student
  • 11-15 Students – 10% off tuition for each student
  • 16-20 Students – 15% off tuition for each student
